Hi, I’m Ana Agner
I’m a UI UX Product and Visual Designer with over 25 years of experience turning product ideas into intuitive, user-friendly designs. My work focuses on creating seamless, human-centred experiences, and I bring energy, attention to detail, and a positive attitude to every project.
Whether I’m collaborating with a team or working independently, I love taking complex problems and simplifying them through thoughtful design.
Fun fact: my mom used to call me “Desagner” instead of Agner, and somehow it stuck—so you could say I’ve been a designer in spirit my whole life. 🌟
And if you’re into HR personality colour charts, I’m 98% Yellow, with just enough Red, Green, and Blue to keep things balanced. Basically, I’m optimistic, people-focused, and all about bringing energy and fun to the design process. 🌈
Clients & Employers
I’ve been lucky to work with some incredible brands and organizations, including:
BC Government • IT Glue • Citibank • Unilever • Ford • Elizabeth Arden • Canadian Living • Disney • National Geographic • Nutella • Legal Aid BC • Robeez • ScotiaBank • The Hockey News • Teekay • Becel • Elle (Brazil & Canada)
My Journey
I grew up in Curitiba, Brazil, as one of five kids in a lively, creative household. From the moment I could hold a pencil, I was hooked on drawing and dreaming big—especially about living and working in North America.
I studied Industrial Design – Visual Communication at PUC-PR and moved to Canada in 2004. Since then, my career has taken me across Curitiba, São Paulo, Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver, which I now proudly call home.
Career Highlights
90s: Graphic design and illustration, including packaging, logos, and two children’s books
2000s: Web design for major brands such as Citibank and Unilever
2006–2015: Visual, Interactive, and Marketing Designer roles, building my design expertise
2019: RGD Award for design excellence
Recent years: Focused on Product Design and UI/UX, helping businesses create products people love to use :)
Beyond Work
When I’m not designing, you’ll probably find me biking around Stanley Park, practicing yoga, or singing with friends (sometimes off-key, but always with joy 🎵).
My greatest joy? Spending time with my two amazing kids, family, and friends—while spreading a little positivity everywhere I go.
