While working on the Family Law website, I also developed two booklets: How to Appeal a Sentence and How to Appeal a Conviction. These guides are designed to assist low-income prisoners navigating legal documentation independently. Recognizing that many users face low literacy and accessibility challenges, I focused on creating inclusive and intuitive content in plain language.

The impact of these guides has been profound, providing freedom and hope to many individuals. One user expressed, “We didn’t know there were people out there thinking about helping us…”

Achievements:

Communicator Award for Unbundled Infographics:
This poster explains unbundled legal services, how to find a family lawyer offering them, and which services are covered by Legal Aid BC. Eye-catching graphics guide the reader from problem to solution, utilizing Legal Services' colours.
